Social Media in Shopping Centres: The Issues, The Lessons, The Opportunities
Social media are growing at a phenomenal rate, with savvy consumers using social media channels to create direct communication links with leading retailers, therefore influencing brand positioning and profile. But what does it all mean for shopping centres? Are centres engaging with social media agenda and if so, are they doing it well?
BCSC launched its much anticipated research into the evolving role of social media in shopping centres last December in London, and after receiving great interest we are pleased to bring this event to Manchester at MediaCityUK on Wednesday 7 March 2012.
The debate will seek to understand and address the findings of the research, the issues organisations face in engaging with social media, what its potential is and whether as a channel it should be seen as a tool to drive sales, or receive and deliver good customer service or a combination of both.
