Letter to Chancellor of the Exchequer Regarding Uniform Business

Given the prolonged slowdown in the consumer economy an urgent call is made on Government to reconsider its decision to set the Uniform Business Rate (UBR) multiplier for 2012/2013 at September’s Retail Price Index (RPI), which at 5.6% was the highest rate in 20 years and, as you are well aware, has already fallen to 3.9% as of January 2012.
