BCSC Response to Simplification of CRC

The DECC consultation on proposals to simplify the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC) finished 18th June. The BCSC response urged the Government to go further in simplifying the scheme by replacing it with a simplified environmental tax, combined with better public information disclosure, such as the recently announced mandatory greenhouse gas reporting.
