The Triangle is situated in Exchange Square, the new retail heart of the city and a location that keeps on getting better. Selfridges has recently opened in the square with Harvey Nichols and a 150,000 sq ft flagship Next Store soon to follow. The Arndale centre is opening a new entrance into Exchange Square and the new transport interchange will also drive pedestrian flows into the square.

The Blackstone Group and Milligan acquired The Triangle in May this year. Retail Resorts International, Milligan's asset management arm, has now undertaken a strategic review of the centre. Early results show a need to target the more urban and youthful consumer although further research to get closer to this market is currently being undertaken. Overall it looks like The Triangle is set to become younger more hip and the place to be seen in Manchester.
