Welcome from the Conference Chairman & BCSC President
This year’s 18th Annual Conference & Retail Showcase is returning to Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall and G-MEX. A great venue, Manchester is a city that has undergone a renaissance culturally and economically. Host of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, the city has experienced dramatic redevelopment. |
This year’s conference theme "Regenerating Communities" will provide an opportunity to review the progress that has been made in implementing the Government’s agenda for Urban Renaissance in our cities. The conference will examine some of the issues surrounding whether the proven benefits of urban regeneration are deliverable in smaller and rural towns. In particular, it will focus on the role that retail plays in delivering regeneration, forming the economic and social life-blood of communities.
Our speakers originate from a cross-section of the industry, each bringing different viewpoints and ideas on regeneration and growth. Indeed, our conference facilitator, News Broadcaster Natasha Kaplinsky, will be able to provide a global perspective, making this an event not to be missed.
Year on year, the BCSC Retail Showcase attracts a growing international audience of industry leaders from property, retail and leisure, including developers, owners, managing agents and operators of major shopping centres. Over the three-day event there will be plenty of networking opportunities, providing you with a complete experience unparalleled anywhere else.
We want to extend special thanks to our sponsors whose fantastic support is essential to making this event the industry leader that it has now become. As the model of regeneration, Manchester 2004 will provide a great forum for both delegates and exhibitors to network in a dynamic and entertaining environment.
Finally don't forget our special Early Bird Booking Discount for all BCSC members; be sure to book by 10th September to take advantage of this great discount.
We look forward to seeing you there! |
