The Westfield Group is an internally managed, vertically integrated, shopping centre group undertaking ownership, development, design, construction, funds/asset management, property management, leasing and marketing activities and employing over 4,000 staff worldwide. The Group has interests in and operates one of the world's largest shopping centre portfolios with investment interests in 118 shopping centres across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Brazil, encompassing around 24,300 retail outlets and total assets under management of A$61.7 bn.
In the UK, Westfield manages and has ownership interests in five operating shopping centres – Westfield Stratford City, Westfield London, Westfield Derby, Merry Hill and Sprucefield.
The Group’s most recent development, Westfield Stratford City, opened on 13th September 2011. The £1.75 billion development is the prestigious gateway to the Olympic Park in London and the centre attracted an unprecedented 1 million visitors within the first week of opening. |
