Martyn Chase BSc FRICS is European Retail Sector Head, DTZ. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Stanhope Regeneration.
Martyn was formerly Chairman of Donaldsons, which merged with DTZ in July 2007. He was previously head of Shopping Centre Investment and Development. Prior to that he was head of Local Authority Consultancy, a business he built up to become market leader, according to independent survey.
Martyn is a former President of British Council of Shopping Centres (he held office in 2008) and is Chair of the BCSC Sustainability and Community Engagement Committee. Martyn is also a member of the ICSC European Advisory Board and chairs their Retail Asset Management Group. He holds a number of other voluntary positions including Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, member of Business in the Community Business Action on Economic Renewal Leadership Team, Board Member of the National Skills Academy for Retail and Court Member of the Worshipful Company of Needlemakers.
Martyn is 55, married with three children. In his spare time he is a keen sailor.
