Simon is a John Lewis 'lifer' joining as a graduate from St Andrews University after a retail taster in Marks and Spencer whilst a student. His career has been mainly focussed in shops and most recently has held the positions of General Manager Glasgow, Managing Director Sheffield and Managing Director Bluewater where he recently led the £22 million refurbishment including the introduction of the new foodhall.
Simon has also been actively involved in some strategic work over the past few years at a divisional level with a focus on 'service and productivity' and most recently 'multi channel' where he has a particular passion. He was therefore delighted to be appointed to the new position as Head of Multi Channel in February 2010 and is responsible for the integration of a rapidly growing online business alongside our established core retail business and creating a seamless and consistent customer experience regardless of what channel they shop in. Simon also is responsible for leading the £1 billion online programme for the business and multi channel systems.
He lives in Kent with his wife and seven year old daughter.
