Guidance Note 68 - Shopping Centre Natural Ventilation Design

This paper summarises the key issues and drivers when deciding to naturally ventilate a shopping centre or covered street. Influencing factors in using natural ventilation are many and often subjective, and can simply be a desire to reduce costs. Equally, drivers can contribute towards an organisation’s environmental policy orenhance good public relations.
This paper should be read in conjunction with the Highcross, Leicester case study (appended to the Guidance Note) which applies to the conversion of an existing centre. |
