BDP (Building Design Partnership)
BDP has a proven track record in the preparation of research studies and development strategies for local authorities in London, and other public and private bodies including several London Boroughs, GOL and BCSC. BDP have been instrumental in the development of urban policy and practice for over 30 years. BDP has the ability to look at urban context and design related policy whilst recognising the commercial imperative of development.
BDP have extensive knowledge and material on best practice as a result ofboth our current work and previous research. This includes a contribution by Richard Rees,to a book called ‘UrbanDesign Futures’ (Spon; 2005), an international compendium of the latest ideas on urban design and our research for the British Council of Shopping Centers on Urban Design for Retail Environments (2002).
BDP also have experience and practice as sustainable designers. Our sustainability experts are spearheading the understanding of sustainability establishing BDP as an international leader in this growing field, thereby enhancing our reputation for design integrity.
