Derek Halden
Derek Halden will act as project director. Derek has over 24 years experience in consultancy, research, national government and local government. Specialist skills include partnership development, economic development, transport planning, social inclusion policy, economic appraisal, managing risk and uncertainty, accessibility planning, travel behaviour and lifestyles, and community planning. Derek led the development of accessibility planning within Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance for the Scottish Executive including access to shopping aspects. He also led a major project for DfT to develop accessibility planning in England. Derek has also assisted in the development of national planning policy guidance.
