The project will be managed by Dr Jonathan Reynolds, Director of the Oxford Institute of Retail Management, based at the Said Business School. Jonathan Reynolds first joined Oxford to work with UK food retailer Tesco on the application of new information technology, following time spent at the University of Edinburgh, with Coca-Cola, and at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
A geographer, urban planner and retailer by turn, he now teaches and researches in theareas of retail planning and development and retail technology. He has published and spoken widely on retail planning, e-commerce, structural changes in retailing and in the fields of database, direct and local marketing.
He is editor of Retail Strategy: the View from the Bridge, published by Butterworth-Heinemann in 2003.
As Director of the Oxford Institute of Retail Management, he is actively involved with Oxford’s executive education clients in the retail, financial and leisure services sectors and, as a faculty member of Oxford University's Said Business School, teaches marketing and e-commerce on Oxford's undergraduate and EMBA programmes.
