3.2 Schedule of the accreditation process

Initial accreditation

  1. Invitations will be sent to potential applicants, explaining the scheme and inviting them to apply for BCSC accreditation of their Customer Care course.
  2. Applicants are to submit their Self-Assessment application form and other supporting documentation, to the BCSC.
  3. Independent consultants will review the submissions and possibly contact the potential course providers for an interview. Recommendations then will be made to the BCSC for issuing the accreditation certificate, valid for one year, or refusing the application.
  4. Successful applicants will be awarded an ‘Accredited Provider’ Certificate which will be valid for 1 year.
  5. Note that applications for initial accreditation can be made at any time.

On-going monitoring

The monitoring procedure will be carried out throughout the whole accreditation year starting from the date of which a training provider is awarded their accreditation certificate.

Re-accreditation

  1. Invitations to apply for re-accreditation will be sent out by the BCSC to current accredited course providers.
  2. Applicants will be required to submit an annual course report on the last accreditation year and other supporting documentation.
  3. Independent consultants will review the submissions and possibly contact the potential course providers for an interview. Recommendations then will be made to BCSC for re-issuing the accreditation certificate (valid for one year) or discontinue accreditating the course.
  4. Successful applicants will be re-awarded their accreditation.
