Eileen is a BCSC Advisory Board Member and Chair of the BCSC Retail Marketing Committee; an ICSC Europe Advisory Board member, judge and past chair of the ICSC Solal European Marketing Awards; an ICSC MAXI Awards judge and served as MAXI Chair in 2005 ; Chaired the 2007 ICSC European Conference in Warsaw and is an ICSC Marketing Retail School Faculty member in Europe and is a regular contributor to industry forums in the UK and overseas.

David Mills is the Centre Manager of the Quedam Centre in Yeovil.
Despite spending over half his life (23 years out of 42) in the shopping centre industry, David firmly believes that you can always learn new ways to run your business better – hence his involvement in the Conference.
As well as co chairing this conference, David is the Chairman of the Group which drives the Yeovil Vision project and in the past he has been involved in a number of similar high profile roles where a new approach or total positive thinking is required.
A passionate advocate for Yeovil and the Quedam Centre, David never misses and opportunity to boost the profile of both (and Yeovil Town FC!) wherever he goes.
Emmanuel Aharoni
qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
In the late 1970s he deliberately moved into the field of
Human Resources - people. He is a member of the Chartered
Institute of Personnel and Development
He has worked in engineering, brewing, steel trading and house
building.
As an independent consultant for over 17 years, he has carried
out assignments in engineering, manufacturing, retail, construction,
financial services, petrochemicals, computers, telecommunications,
consultancy, transport, local government, statutory authorities,
the NHS, several types of partnerships and even a health farm.
He specialises in management and behavioural skills in the
work place, e.g. presentation skills, interviewing skills,
assertiveness, delegation and even the language of leadership.
Gordon Burns Television Journalist and
Presenter of North West Tonight
Gordon Burns is the face of
North West Tonight and also presents their lunchtime bulletins.
A journalist by trade, Gordon has had a long and successful
involvement with political and current affairs programmes,
having worked for Granada, ITV and the BBC on such heavyweight
programmes as World in Action and Granada Reports.
Gordon made his name nationally when
he wrote and presented the popular ITV quiz show The Krypton
Factor which ran for eighteen years.

Alf Dunbar is a practitioner,

Philippa Forrester hosts her
own Saturday morning radio show for BBC Bristol. She brought
a fresh touch to Tomorrow’s World and made her mark
on Robot Wars and Time Machine. She also presented BBC2’s
live Heaven & Earth show.
Philippa’s four years with Children’s BBC saw
her presenting the enormously popular afternoon show - the
Broom Cupboard. She then moved onto The Ozone, interviewing
a variety of pop stars from Annie Lennox and Paul McCartney
to teen heartthrobs East 17 and Take That.
A keen environmentalist, Philippa is Vice President of the
Wildlife Hospital Trust. She produced the film My Halcyon
River for BBC1, which told of a year in the life of the river
which runs past her window, and the wildlife it hosts.
Other work has included a series on extreme
sports for This Morning and coverage of The World's Strongest
Man.

Kristofer Juergensen is the globally responsible expansion manager for PUMA AG, the German Sportlifestyle company. Kristofer has developed PUMA’s retail strategy and is now implementing its growth plan. Although strategically responsible for the whole world, he focuses most of his attention on new stores in the EU where he evaluates all new opportunities and negotiates the commercial deals as well as the lease contracts.
Prior to joining PUMA in 2005, Kristofer worked for the management consultancy Kurt Salmon Associates, specialized in consumer goods and retail. Kristofer lives with his wife and three sons outside of Nuremberg, Germany.
Professor Richard Scase is one
of the world's leading business forecasters - able to speak

Rick Ball Community Safety

North Yorkshire Police
Sgt Rick Ball has 18 years of
service with North Yorkshire Police, based in York. He has
performed various roles including that of Community Police
Officer for the City Centre. In this role, he implemented
a Retail Exclusion Scheme for persistent shop thieves which
brought about a dramatic decrease in retail crime.
For many years, he has been an active
member of the Retailers Against Crime York Steering Committee,
but recently moved to become part of the York Community Safety
Team. Besides being the plan owner for York's perennial problem
of cycle crime, he holds a portfolio for Business Crime and
Information Sharing which has enabled him to be part of the
National Intelligence Sharing Alliance (n.isa) Development
Team, working closely with Anne Tate and her team.

Lisa is a Partner in our Litigation & Dispute Management group, specialising in real estate litigation.
Lisa has over 10 years experience in advising landlords and retailers upon a full range of property related disputes including opposed and unopposed lease renewals, service charge disputes, disrepair claims and nuisance claims. As a result, she has a real in-depth knowledge of the issues facing centre managers and retailers on a day to day basis.

Geoffrey Bean has spent most
of his working life in advertising – as an Art Director

free flight programme. He is now a Partner in Tomlin Bean

Eddie joined Regester Larkin
in September 2006 following over 20 years with McDonald’s,
where she was Head of Corporate Affairs for the UK before
becoming Director of Communications for McDonald’s Europe
in 2002.
Eddie played a pivotal role in the management of some of the
most high-profile reputational threats to the organisation
including BSE, Avian Influenza and a range of campaigns by
local and international NGOs.
At Regester Larkin, Eddie leads across a range of client projects
and specialises in providing reputation management advice
to the food, retail and consumer goods sector.
Paul is Sustainability Director
for PRUPIM. He has over 20 years' experience in retailing,
property and sustainability, having held a variety of senior
roles within the John Lewis Partnership and Habitat before
joining Prudential.
Paul is responsible for PRUPIM’s sustainability strategy,
including socially responsible investment, environment and
community. He is a Prudential Pensions Trustee, Chairman of
the BCSC Sustainability Task Force, and a Fellow of the Royal

Richard’s particular area
of expertise is the development of practical transport strategies
and solutions for retail developments, whether for town or
city centres, regeneration areas or individual developments.
He has worked for a wide private sector retail client base
including major developers such as Grosvenor, Chelsfield,
Legal and General, Lend Lease, and large individual retailers
such as Tesco and B&Q.
Amongst various other ongoing major schemes, he has recently
he has been acting as Masterplan Transport Advisor to Grosvenor
in connection with The Paradise Project, in Liverpool considered
to be the largest regeneration project in the UK outside of
London.

Lewis Lewis Commercialisation
Founder of Lewis Commercialisation
before setting up this practice, Byron was Head of Commercialisation
at Lend Lease Retail and in this role he pioneered the commercialisation
of shopping centres in the UK through the successful development
of commercialisation at Bluewater initially and then through
the whole Lend Lease portfolio. Recently, Byron wrote the
Commercialisation Information Paper on request of
the RICS.

James Outterside Engineer,

James has experience of working on the development of transport strategies and transport input to the masterplanning process for a wide variety of retail schemes, particularly within town and city centres.
Recent schemes have included the Bridgefield development within Stockport town centre, on behalf of Lend Lease. Incorporating a new retail led development of this scale within a constrained town centre environment presents a number of transport issues, most pertinently the incorporation of service vehicle movements within the public realm of a town centre, and the adequate provision of service yard space for ‘back of house’ retail activities.

Psychology in 2003 and was made a Partner in December 2005.
Over the past four years she has played an integral role developing
the services offered by CCP and continues to work with her

Anna has led the Centre’s operations during hundreds

Anne Tate Chief Executive,

Anne Tate started life as a
Materials Scientist, quickly moving into pre- and post-sales
support for project management systems. Following the birth
of her three children, she was approached to raise the profile
of, and raise funds for, the National Children’s Orchestra.
When her family moved to Scotland, she took on the role Chief
Executive/ Director of Development for the Crichton Foundation,
working to create a combined heritage site, business park
and University Campus, quickly developing a reputation for
bringing many partners together to work for a common aim and
vision. She moved to Northumbria Coalition Against Crime just
over five years ago, where she and her team have developed
the North East Retail Crime Partnership into one of the UK’s
leading crime reduction partnerships.

Nick Tomlin has spent
most of his working life in advertising – initially
as a Creative Copywriter in London agencies, then as the Creative
Director of his own advertising agency. His successful advertising
career took a dramatic turn in the late 1980’s when
he was one of the founding inventors and shareholders of Air
Miles – the British Airways free flight programme. He
is now a Partner in Tomlin Bean – a specialist retail
branding agency based in London.
Katherine joined
Regester Larkin in November 2006 from Shell where as External
Affairs Adviser she designed and tested the UK crisis contingency
plan, helped plan and facilitate crisis simulation exercises,
and developed issues management strategies. Katherine also
developed Shell UK’s flu pandemic response plan.
Since joining Regester Larkin, Katherine has reviewed, developed
and tested crisis response plans and procedures for clients
including Cadbury-Schweppes, Baxter Healthcare, AstraZeneca
and London and Quadrant.
Katherine graduated with an MSc in human nutrition from the
University of Otago, New Zealand.
